We will be adding the first of many sections of ladder bridge to be installed over the next few weeks. This one will be over the massive mudhole on the way down to the road b4 turtlle cove. (The one with 3 turfblocks in it). Should be a short day. Bring a shovel, or a cordless drill. Wheelbarrow if you have one. Please post up if your coming  for planning purposes. Thx

I should be able to make it. No shovel or wheelbarrow, but I do have a cordless.

Each 10 foot section is supported by three crossmembers that are rebarred into the ground.

Wow! Great turn out today with some fun new folks. We got 3 sections of ground ladder installed and some drainage put in as well. The 60 foot mudbog on the backside of the trail is no more! I think emily took pictures.

Big thanks to Craig, Emily, Mark, Max, Kevin, John, Justin, Austin and another thanks to Mr. And Mrs. Cyclepath for delivering and helping to unload the lumber!

It was getting dark when I rode so the photos aren't great.

I was talking the other side of the dam.  The flat lands that are still rather muddy in places but not if you take the newly cut path around each section.  Any plans for ladder bridges over there?

By the way excellent work on the ones in this thread... rode there today... very nice.

Yes. This was the prototype/trial run for the main effort over where you described 18 spans in all. Much work to be done.

I will get back out and help. Just been really selfish with my time this summer.  With all the rain etc been lucky to ride 1x or 2x a week.

P.S.  One of those ladder bridges would be perfect for the creek in the black section with the lil skinny bridge...  How secure are the new ones...   Cool   JK

Wow, are those Sullivans you're using for stringers? Those monsters will never move (and  won't be easily moveable to other locations once some of those wet areas dry out ...).

Whew! Had me scared there. (I can see the difference now.)

Still, nice and beefy.

Next workday? Love to see the Enchanted Forest dry again.

p.s. Just a thought - any chance for rerouting the trail around the big puddle behind the soccer fields (where cement blocks are)? Could use the established path to the left that is on the ridge above the fields. Looked at it briefly Friday, and may entail less work than bridging?
