Will be at our mt house near Hanging Rock.  Just north of Moore's Springs trail.  Looking to ride from about 9am to 12pm or so.  Let me know if you wanna meet in the parking lot!

After this rain I'm not planning on riding there.  It'll be nasty and word on the street is NCSU is shutting it down.  Frowny Face  Sad

Mark is that for sure?  Its a good trail and the guys that built it are super cool.  There was a lot more room for additional trail too.

Tony has officially vacated the property because of the State Legislature dropping his lease early for the use of the land.   I think you can still ride it, but there may be trees down since I don't think he has done much upkeep done because of the situation.   Great trail though & he was to have 6 more miles done in the next year, but doesn't look like that will be happening now.   Ride it while you can.

From what I understand there was no club to land manager MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) like we have with all of our parks and they have no money to manage the camp ground and trail areas.  My take is you don't them to manage it as Tony and the crew up there were already doing that job free gratis.

Anyway, with all the rain yesterday I'm sure much of it is messy and that gives me bad vibes to ride on trails like that.

The Moore's Spring Trail land is not a park.  It is owned by the State of North Carolina & was managed by 4H & Tony had a lease with them to do the only two things that can legally be done with the land, run a camp ground & build trails.  The NC legislature has ended H4 control & ended Tony's lease on land early (i.e. - they broke the lease)  It is not & could not be handled like the Trailblazers have handled things down here because the situation is totally different.
