Hey Trailblazers,
I dont know everyone in the TrailBlazers but I do know alot of you'n and figured this was the best way to say so long.
Many of you know that I've semi-relocated to Asheville and the last piece of me being a full time Ashevillian was a job. Well that has finally changed.
I have accepted a position with Cane Creek Cycling Components and will be moving up there in a week and a half.
So please everyone go out and buy a dozen or so Double Barrel Airs so I can keep my job haha...
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone involved with this club. Charlotte is truly blessed to have a mountain bike club that is as active and hard working as this one. In the short time I have been involved I have seen immense changes and improvements to the area mountain biking community. It has been an honor and a pleasure to help build trail, attend social rides, and just to hang out with all you folks. I will truly miss this in Asheville.
For those of you reading this who are casual forum posters, who hang on the outskirts of the volunteer base, or who read this forum and ride the trails without being involved with the club... I urge you to get involved. The small handful of people who make this all happen are really great people and it is mind boggling the amount of things that get done with so few people doing the work.... Please give back to the club, the cycling community, and most importantly the trails.
Dont take all this for granted...
Now that the sentimental junk is over.... I will be back often since my folks live in Union County. I also want to come down and ride all the new trail that will surely be built in the future.
I expect everyone to come to Asheville and go riding with me in Pisgah, Dupont, Bent Creek, Heartbreak/kitsuma, and all the other trails up there, and to come and drink absurd amounts of good mountain beers with me. Hell, I might even buy ya a couple!
Thanks again everyone and we'll see ya'll soon...
