Catchy Slogan Defending Public Trails

I was at a Marion Diehl meeting a few years ago (related to formalizing BackYardTrails) where someone from the Tarheel Trailblazers used a catchy slogan that I've been trying to remember.

It was somewhat along the lines of "Good trail users deter bad trail users" ... but catch-ier.

Does anyone know what the line was (or care to invent a new one)?

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.

Prevent trail creep by not being one.

Good, but not quite.

This was something you could say at a public meeting when some neighbor starts complaining that new trails will just welcome "homeless, criminals, etc." into their backyards.

Found it.

Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is: never try.

Maybe just suggest a jail or homeless shelter be built instead of the trail? Wink
