Anybody know where I can get a tow hitch installed in south Charlotte/Matthews? It looks dead easy, but I lack a place to do it. I called uhaul, but they'll only install theirs.

It probably is dead easy -- i've done a few  - BMW - Pickup Truck - 2 or 3 Volvos-  1 jeep etc

Any General maintenance shop should also easily do it for probably an hour's worth of labor...

If you want to travel to University area / North Charlotte Ide do it for a 12'er of a good IPA'

- Define your car and I can look up the instructions too see if there is anything complicated- usually not- with an Add on kit.

PM /Email if you want to go further.

What vehicle? Most from Curt, Reese and others are 30 min - 1 hour install with basic hand tools and a torque wrench, or if you're like me, locktite and an impact with the gutentite method.

The one for my 4runner gets here today and is just two plates that slide inside the frame rails with the bolts already welded to it, line em up with exisiting holes in the frame, have a buddy hold the hitch in place, start all the bolts, tighten them and roll out.

Unless yours involves removing a bumper or trimming the valance at the bottom I doubt its very hard and a 12'er and an hour with a friend will knock it out. Leonard quoted me $370 installed. I got mine for $145 on Ebay with free shipping and 2 minutes on youtube to find an install video of my application. All of the wiring harnesses are plug and play as well these days if you need to have lights down there for a trailer harness.

Thanks for the offers. I'll get up with YellowDuck. I've had the pleasure of being left in his dust a couple of times.

If that doesn't work out there's a great place on Independence right at the edge of Matthews heading toward the city (just past the Dunkin Donuts on the right).

I can't recall the name but I'm sure a quick search will find it.  Nice guys that did solid work for what I thought was a reasonable price.
