Beatty open to ride early?

Hello Tarheel Trailblazer friends.  My first time riding in the area since moving here.  Was curious if Beatty can be ridden early on....(ie 6-7am pre work thing)?  Also any things I may need to know getting there besides what's posted?  Coming from Ballantyne Commons area. Thanks in advance for any feedback! Hope to meet some new people to ride with.

Hi Justin welcome to the area. You should not have any trouble riding the trail before work. We also have group rides there nearly every Wed (posted on the forum)Which turn to night rides after daylight savings. Come join us. FYI he open/closed status is also posted on the homepage and updated when conditions on the trail cause us to close it.

I've been riding early mornings a good bit lately at Beatty. Park watch has always beat me to the gate - has been open at least by 6:15 or so, though that may change soon as it's dark now till some time after that.


Be nice to have someone else get the spidey webs some mornings ….

Update: Beatty is opening closer to 7:00 am now due to the shorter daylight. But if you beat the Park Watch guy who opens, you can park outside the gate off the road and ride in. Over several years, this has never been an issue.

Thanks for the info lads. Hopefully wknd forecast doesn't put a damper on things.  Just checked forum.  New gig has had be hampered lately:/  FYI rode Beatty last wknd and loved it.  Was told  about White Water trails closer to city with fast flowy stuff that sound great.  Stoked to get over there.  Heard good things about Renaissance too Smiley
