I'll be posting up details a little bit later for another season of trail work at the Huntersville Elementary School. First work day will be Saturday 10/11 from 9am-noon.

This will be a short "gateway" trail on CMS property that will be a good place to bring kids and even adults who want to get into mountain biking. The public can use this trail just like you'd run on the track at the local school when the school isn't using it. Not sure on exact mileage yet, but in the mile-ish range, but it's on some decent land.

Trail will connect with the future greenway plans, it's about a mile from the North Meck trail, but unfortunately the greenway isn't targeted to connect to North Meck Park. It might be possible to ride a short portion of road to combine the two trails, but it's tough to read the greenway maps sometimes with the gazillion lines on them.

Trail will be a figure 8 with a bridge connecting the two loops. Initial work will be to complete the first loop to let the kids start using the trail, and Markie Mark will help me build a bridge as we work on the second loop on the other side of the small creek. 

The sooner I finish this one I can help The Cyclepath on some new goodness at Fisher Farm when the better half gives me a trail work pass.

Shoot, I'm out that weekend but will try to get out for the next. I may jus taps wing by and see how it faired with the summer growth and see what I chip away at if the flags are still up
