First workday of the season, suggest bringing gloves, long pant/sleeves, and water. I'll have Tecnu and Ivy Block on hand. Tools will be provided borrowing from Fisher Farm. Thanks Mark Kiss

Like I've stated before, short little gateway trail on school property open to the public after hours just like you'd run at the track at your neighborhood school. Trail will connect to future greenway system, with a chance you could hop off the greenway for a short bit of road to tie in North Meck. Greenway does not connect with North Meck Park, but some of the maps look like it may be close, but don't quote me.

Trying to make it out there.

Park in the school lot?

Any tools I should bring?

Park in school parking lot nearest ball fields and look for the clearing in the woods in right field in ball field farthest from the school. I usually try and stand up a couple bright yellow macleods you can see from the parking lot at the trail entrance.

You could bring a flat and spade shovel, or a macleod or pulaski if you have your own. Pulaski and macloeds will be the major tools for a while. Grubbing and raking. When we cross the creek we'll be adding a lot of benching to the mix.

We had 8 folks show up today, including 6 seasoned Tarheel Trailblazers, and we got a ton of work accomplished. Hoping to open the first loop soon.

We'll be at it the next 2 Saturdays, and most likely each non holiday weekend Saturday throughout the winter.
