Looking for recommendations for hitch mounted racks. Platform vs. hanging vs. vertical? Looking to keep the cost reasonable (less than $300) if possible. Thanks.

I like yakima.  They work great and have an incredible warranty.

I've had Thule and Yakima and liked them fine.  But I just got a 1up and would buy nothing else in the future.

I have a 1 up now, but you said under $300.  My previous rack was a Swagman and for the money they are really hard to beat.

Yep, I love my 1up but it will set you back some serious coin for 2 bikes.  I would try to find something that holds by the wheels not the frame if you can.

I've got a Sportworks rack I'll take $150.00 for it. It looks just like this one,  it holds 2 bikes.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

I have the 1UP rack with the 1-1/4" hitch for the car plus the adapter to make it fit my truck at 2".
Double bike holder with option to remove a holder to make it a single or add one to make it a triple. Well worth the money for this convenience. It's easy to unhitch from the car and folds up to half the size when you need to store in the trunk or house when not needed. Plus the insert into your hitch has the anti sway feature which locks the rack in place. Works great. Draw back is no built in lock

ciao

You can get adaptors to take the hitch size either way. Enoch's rack is a great price. I had one just like it that I used for many years. While it may not be a 1 Up USA it is only $150. I don't think you'll go wrong.
