Food Beverage Recommendations

MTBProject is looking for a few Charlotte area establishments to add to the Charlotte page that we want to tout to visiting riders.

Please post up descriptions something like:

U.S. National White Water Center –after 20 miles of riding, relax on site with a large seletion of craft drafts and good food at the River’s Edge while taking in the kayakers and zip liners doing their thing.

The recommendations don't have to be trail specific, but what are the best bike-friendly places with great food and beverage for after rides? Maybe breweries with regular food trucks? (What was the brewery that hosted the SORBA folks this weekend?) What is a great dish at the eatery that you'd recommend?

Post 'em up quick so's I can send them in.

Thanks!

Jake's over by Sherman is good. Service is kind of slow but the food is really good and is more upscale than you might expect. It kind of looks like a dump from the outside, like the kind of place that would just have burgers and sandwiches but they have some surprisingly upscale stuff.

String Bean in Belmont is fun after a WWC ride. Again service is kind of slow but the food is good. Don't get the fried pickles though. They are really thick and weird and just not good.

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.

Post Poston, WWC, Rocky Branch- make sure to hit South Fork Deli in Cramerton.

Amazing beer selection- cheap too.
Even better food- also really inexpensive for the quality.

After riding at Fisher Farm or LNSP I'll stop through davidson and hit up Fuel Pizza, Carburritos or Toast (for brunch) and then head over to Davidson Beverage Company for a nice selection of brews.

Ride at BYT, the venerable, technical gem of Charlotte, then head over to the The Roasting Company for some great Southern food and local craft beers... tasty and very affordable.

After riding the Itusi head down the road to Daveste' Vineyards (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links); Winery set on beautiful grounds just minutes from downtown Troutman . Bring a picnic, do a wine tasting,or purchace a bottle and enjoy on the patio.

After Signal Hill or Itusi. Head over to the Wine Maestro in Downtown Statesville. Taproom/bar has featured craft beer on tap. Or enjoy a glass of wine on the patio. Order takeout from local eating establishments to enjoy with your beverage. Liz and Jason are your friendly hosts ,and can fill you i on all the latest craft beer trends in NC and the USA

We sometimes hit The Brick house in Davidson after a night ride at Fisher Farm. Great food and great beer selection.
