What’s the general still level for these Tuesday rides?
If "Still level" refers to how often we stop then I would say it depends on the group that shows up on any given Tuesday evening to ride.
If you mean Skill level then I like to think I am pretty skilled, LOL.
It's a no drop ride so the way it works is
-we meet up at a local trailhead at the given time and given place on Tuesday nights
-I usually lead the ride and I have someone that I know and trust sweep or ride in the back
-Now here is the tricky part, I try to set a pace that I feel everyone can handle and enjoy.
I do this by riding fast enough that I feel Like I'm not going to get run over and at the same time I check the back by spotting my sweeper (In switchbacks or by glancing back)
-If the group gets to spread out then I slow the pace so that any gaps can close, or stop for a moment to make sure we are still together(
Make sure We don't Drop anyone).
-How fast do we go? As fast as the group can handle or myself, whichever comes first
The point of the ride is to hang out with other riders and ride trails you don't normally ride, not for training. You can train and go as fast as you like the rest of the week!
Sometimes there is 2 or 3 of us. Sometimes there are 16 or so. Just depends
Hope that answers your question
