Can anyone tell me the loops that will be used for the May 9th Southern Endurance Series Race?

Great question.  The event website says course map coming soon...

Edit:  from the website "This is the first race in our series and will consist of the Monbo Loop and the Hawk Loop for approximately a 10-mile Course."

Does this mean those trails are closed to recreational riding? I happen to be camping that weekend there with kids and have no interest in an endurance race.

I would assume so, but I don't know.  The promoter is from the Triad area and I don't know them to ask any questions.  The State Park staff may know.

During past events the rules were that trails and roads could not be closed. That said, I would just ride the other trails(Laurel/Wildlife)  if you are at LNSP that day.

The trails have historically been open. I have ridden there a couple times during the race. There was not much interference. Just be courteous.

You probably don't want to be out there on the first lap but after about an hour or so the racers will spread out and it won't be to bad riding with them.
