Need to ride a bike, as many of you can relate, so, any chance of any trail opening?

I could see North Meck opening soon.  I haven't been out there yet so if anyone has reports of trees, etc.  Let me know.  I'm going out there tomorrow after work to pick up limbs and check drainage.  I expect it to be good to go tomorrow after work if it doesn't rain today or tonight.

Will, I walked part of the trail yesterday morning and there are lots of leaves and debris on the ground. I don't think there were any trees down. The trail had water standing in places and the drains need cleaning out.

Just got off of Fisher checking the trail out. Only 2 dead pines had fallen. Cut them out and its good to go! Lots of debris on the trail but nothing you can't just ride over. Only bad muddy spot is at the field crossing and second culvert. Will post it open later this afternoon! Smiley

Thanks Mike!  I think I'll get out there tomorrow after work for a little clean up.  If anyone wants to join let me know.  Maybe bring a leaf blower if you've got one to buff off all the sticks and blow out some drains  Wink

I just hope LKN will open by Friday.  I've got the morning off work and my legs desperately need to be stretched!

Heading to Fisher right now to do a full recon lap.  Any and all are welcome to join.  Will not be doing "Your Mom" as it's still fresh, unpacked trail and has 2 stupid steep/tight switchback climbs.

Glad to hear you're not doing my mom.  She has standards, after all.

Went out and cleaned up the front !/3 of BYT today. Lots of deadfall and sticks down all over the place and looked around for trees down. Just saw 3 down in the front 1/3. I will get those in the morning before work. We haven't gotten to the middle or back 1/3 yet. I plan on opening  the trails back up on wed. We wont get to the middle or back 1/3 till this weekend. If you go out to ride please pick up sticks and move limbs. Its a mess! Posting a work day for this sat. Started at 11 this morning and finished at 4. Thanks for not riding the trail when this wet it saves us work in the long run.

I was just cleaning drains at Beatty below the dam, and the place is a mess.  Please stay off of it until we get the green light on the home page.  Lots of puddles with nowhere to drain them to.  The ground is oversaturated....

RRT report: Cleared several large dead trees this afternoon. 2 more red oaks with the crowns completely covering the short downhill run after Stairway, I'll try to clean up that mess tomorrow. A thick carpet of leaves sticks and limbs cover entire trail. Most of it will remain till leaves get blown off in November. The first wet bypassed area was under the river for a few hours and has that greasy silt maybe the rain will was some away. 2nd bypassed area the first half had a dunking. Several bridges were dislodged but are back in place now.    And steady rain since about 5:00 this afternoon.  Smiley

Fisher's good to go!  Had to clear a few more dead trees but they didn't require a chainsaw so it was easy peasy.  Was super thick with leaves and twigs.  Only real muddy spot was the second culvert crossing area and anywhere leaves had gotten clumped together.  Roll Eyes

Will be out there in the morning to blow off all the leaves that got blown down.

Hit 80% of the green and all of the lower blue (Enchanted Forest)  Ran out of gas just before the Boy Scout bridge.  Will be back there in the AM to finish blowing Old Blue...and Thunder Road.

PRP was cleared as of Sunday night, one large tree cut through and lots of sticks cleared.  More rain fell last night though on PRP/BYT...  I'm going out tonight to start on the back 1/3 of BYT, will update Scott and the group on my progress afterwards.
