RRT: Cleared the trees at the top of Stairway. Still a ton of debris down. Any other trees please inform me with size and location.

Cleared most of the small stuff which I could lift on my ride today. There are 4-5 trees down total. It was clear from big drop/ viaduct on, so the trees were between no name and viaduct. , I think one on old chunky, a widow maker after ball field or top of old chunky and one on no name or gorge climb. Could not remember which. .I should have been keeping tabs more on the others as I road but completely lost track as there was a lot of debris  and dead fall. All were passable which is good.

Also, ride the wet bypasses. I could go no more than 50 ft in and my bike was clogged up with mud

Thanks for the input on RRT I guessed there were several more down. I'll try and get to them Thursday.

Mark, I moved quite a few bigger branches off of Thunder Road yesterday (your truck was still in lot). The rest of the trail looked fantastic - as ever, thanks for all you do.

Beatty is open tread lightly. Watch out for the downed tree on the valley trail. It should be gone tomorrow. Huge shout out to the Beatty trail crew for each hopping on a section and clearing drains and debris! My time is currently being divided between organizing work at Beatty, fundraising for the pump trail, and helping get a new trail in the area off the ground. It is a massive help to me when things like this get done and I don't have to physically be at the park. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is a cool interactive site to help see how much rain has fallen in the last 1 hour to 1 week at your favorite local trail:

Sorry if this is already common knowledge.  I have not been on the forum in a while.

There's a site right down the power line from Fisher that I use all the time.

Here's current data:

I think the trail that goes around the WWC parkway is "all weather".  The wife and I rode it last week... not a bad trail if you get the itch.  Couple of laps including the hard-pack around the water...  probably get a little more than 3 miles per circuit.
Perhaps Lee and team can weigh in... I did see them working on it Monday evening...  but my understanding is that will remain open even when the trails are closed.

I threw the bike and gear in the back of the truck in the hopes that Steve might open up RRT tomorrow if it's drained enough and I can get a lap in after work.  And, since I did that, I'm sure it won't.

Damn Skippy on Cheraw! Scott I've  tried preaching to the crowd on Cheraw. The more rain the better. I'll  be down there Saturday AND Sunday this week.. You'll  be the only one I see..... 7 mile loop of sweet Sandy single track....Although Jerry has made the trip... He's a long shot but if he shows it might be considered  crowded. 3 riders there at once.... The Hartsville cycling  club would be proud if 3 Charlatans showed up...

THere is a 25 mile long dirt road called Old Wire Rd that goes from Mcbee to the State Park area. If I get my gravel bike, I could hit them both in one trip.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.
