Is the map that is on their site the most current showing lake, laurel hill, big leaf, soccer & Spencer mtn loops? How long mileage is the full loop? if it is good mileage I might have to start trying it out  Wink

It's current. If you ride all those loops round trip it's 9 miles (you can warm up on the kids trail for an extra 1/2 mile or so).

But they are "slow" miles - don't expect to have the same avg. speed that you have at, say, Beatty or Sherman. But it's a great trail and a blast to ride. And if you like big jumps well...

Ok thanks...my goto trails are WWC, LNSP & Uwharrie. I am on a 33x18 SS so not a big jumper  Shocked

Poston is awesome.  It's got eveything a mtn bike trail should have...a narrow corridor, decent climbs, a lake, challenging, fun singletrack, good sinage, a dog park & perpetual access.  Love it!

My cycle 'puter shows 9.5 mi with all options including the Deja Vu bit.

I'm with David - I get 9.86 doing all options with the new ending (wheel sensor)... It usually takes me right at an hour so its not as slow as you'd think.  There is flow to it if you ride behind someone who has ridden there a bit.

Greg - There are no big slow climbs like goat / carpet there; the climbs are quick to get over with.  I think people find it difficult because there are no real flat areas; you are either going up or down =D... oh and it's by far the tightest trail around the Charlotte area.

crackednipples - Don't let the mileage fool you; I'd say one lap of Poston takes more out of you than 2 @ Sherman.

I got 9.75 the ride before - the one I looked at was probably the time I zeroed out my computer on the first loop and skipped an optional line.

The .11 extra for me is probably walking my bike back up the bank I fell off of... or it could be the parking lot shuffle I always do.
