Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day

SAVE THE DATE: IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day will be held this year on Saturday, June 11 at Col. Francis Beatty Park. This FREE annual event, co-sponsored by Trips for Kids Charlotte, Tarheel Trailblazers, Dirt Divas, REI, and Southpark Rotary, offers kids of all ages an opportunity for biking fun and fellowship at one of Charlotte's favorite venues. Rides start at 9:00 followed by a HUGE cookout at noon. All you need to bring is a kid, bike, helmet, and an appetite for fun. We are looking for a few THTB members to help as ride leaders and a couple of volunteer bike patrol medics. REI will provide mechanical support and Southpark Rotary will prepare lunch. This event is taking wings! We have awesome participation so be part of it and bring as many kids as you kind find: yours, your neighbor's,, your coworker's, heck, see sombody in the park, invite them too! This is all about getting kids outdoors and exposed to healthy life choices. Guaranteed there will be smiles and stories to tell.
