There is a tree down across the trail before you reach the S8 marker.

Tree looked to be about 12" in diameter and moderately tall.  (At least prior to the storm that is)

I live just down the road from Sherman and we got an unbelievable amount of rain yesterday evening in about a 30 minute span.  It won't be surprising if more stuff is fallen.  I haven't seen rain and wind like that in a very long time.  I'm surprised the trail shows open honestly.

Rode Sherman today at about 1:00. The trail itself wasn't bad at all, just a few puddles in a few spots. The bigger issue was the debris on the trail. I moved and picked up some of the bigger stuff as I rode all loops but there is still quite a bit of debris-smaller branches, leaf run off and and sand runoff on the trail.  There are also quite a few trees down:

From what I can remember there is 1 on Roller coaster, closer to the beginning (9-12 inches in diameter), 3 on main: one before the wooden bridges/jumps, one in the middle-can't remember exactly where, and one near the end after you come out of lake loop (it's actually the top of a larger tree that has 2 large branches completely blocking the trail-you have to maneuver and snake your way thought it). The other one is on Lake loop-on the double track after you first head in.
I would say they may all be able to be handled with a hand saw but the job would take a little bit of work...piece of cake for a chainsaw.
Be careful out there...another rider mentioned on his second loop a large branch must had just fallen because it wasn't there for his first lap...lot's of branches may be loose and could fall at any time.

THANK YOU  Bugaboo for taking the time  to pick up a few things. Everybody should follow this young ladies lead.

Spinsir helped me get the Big limb and the end of the trail today.

There are quite a few drains that could use some love if someone wants to take a walk and clear a few. I kicked some out while riding last week and was pleased to see they showed no signs of puddling since the last rain.

If everyone would hit just one area they see filling up with sand/silt, on each trip, the place would never have any puddles.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.
