Understand there was a rather large trail running race at Springs last Friday / Saturday in the middle of the storm.  Anyone know if the trail was impacted?

Funny you should mention that.  I rode there yesterday after work from the dog park area on Adventure Rd & noticed a massive amount of evidence of what I thought had been horse traffic on the prairie loop.  Now that you mention the race it does seem like it was foot traffic.  The ground must've been quite muddy as it dried into a 5' wide swath of damaged trail.

They had directional signs and hazard signs stuck in the middle of turns and just before hazards but in the middle of the trail last week. I guess they were for this race.

Very dangerous for MTB riders though.  Several were right in the lines through high speed areas and looked like they were attached with metal stakes.  I couldn't tell for sure in the metal but definitely some kind of stake.

My wife was a part of the race. The pos promoters didn't cancel the event but should have. I didn't go on the trails but they got torn up. It was an ultra marathon relay type running race.

Rode there today. Trails are in great shape. The damage seemed to be limited to the grassy field and the service roads. Did not notice any stakes out on the trail. There were a few in the field at the Barn though.

Good to know.  I'm thinking of heading over there later today.
