Sherman shorter?

The last few times I've ridden Sherman branch, I'm only logging around 8 miles? Whats up? Did we lose trail? Is it a GPS thing? Seems like too much to just be GPS error.

Thoughts?

Nope. Rode it. I'll post my Strava/Suunto log when I get home tonight.

GPS error...combine tree cover, tight trail, and your immense speed and boom, 8 miles.  I log between 9 and 11 for the entire loop depending on the day.

Current theory has the universe.. and everything in it... expanding.

I'm sure there is a logical explanation to your observations.

It's due to all the shortcuts you usually take, Strava-Boy.

Isn't it awesome that when you buy a couple hundred dollars worth of GPS that you need to spend another $40 on a speed sensor to make it accurate...

Cateye Wireless (wheel sensor)

11.69

Has been for a long time.

GPS is all sorts of screwy - especially Strava.

Sounds about right.

I generally get around 11.60 with my wheel sensor.

Calibrated the tire rolling circumference by rolling one rev on the garage floor at riding pressure while sitting on bike, then measured linear distance with tape measure.
