It looks like on your bike it does not use a cable guide. A lot of things could be wrong with how you routed the cable to the length of tube at each end even how you cut the cable housing or even over tightened the zip ties. But good thing is it sounds like whatever it is will be a simple fix once you determine the cause. 

The cable guide in the first picture u posted i have that and nothing wrong with it installed and in place. Zip ties are in place as pictured.

The cable guide us have pictured, I have and is in place, zip tie installed in place.

One quick check for you is to loosen the cable pinch bolt on the derailleur, then click up to the lowest gear then click down to the highest gear. Then pull on the cable. If you feel any resistance then you may be able to narrow down the problem. Once again there can be several things wrong but perhaps in the end you should take it to your local bike shop and have a mechanic take a look at it.
