Need a Fork

My Suntour air fork works no more.  I have tried to disassemble it but the the lower will not come off.  I knew this day was coming (over 2000 miles on the fork) but was hoping to get a good "last model years" deal on a fork--currently not available.  I really wanted a Fox Factory 32, but at $800+ I'm willing to wait on a better price.  Plus I'm concerned about the amount of maintenance required.  I've considered a Rockshox Pike but they are about the same price and a little more travel than what I have now (now have 120, min on Pike 27.5 is 130).

Right now, I'm sticking to trails with less bumpy downhill sections and improving my rigid skills.

Any advise is helpful. Thanks!

There's this...

It's a solo air, so I'm 90% sure the travel can be adjusted by taking apart the air spring and adding spacers to the shaft (I know that is how the Recons work). With a basic service it might hold you over for through summer until you can start finding good deals on unused 2017 models in the fall/winter.

Buyer beware obviously. The guy says it is "due for a service." To some people that might mean it isn't quite as buttery smooth as it was when new, to others that may mean it barely moves anymore and makes funny clunking noises.

Also, the Fox Factory 32 will require no more or less maintenance than any other decent air fork. Just depends on how long you want it to last.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.
