49er Rider - I'd like that but I travel quite a bit for work and my schedule can be a bit "variable" during the week.  Any availability on the weekends?  FYI Jaybase -  Rock Vegas is a thinly disguised Flinstones reference for Rock Hill.  Best way to get there is the way back machine!

BTW I had a chance to ride all of ASC this afternoon with the exception of Prarie Loop. Good news is that you can still ride all of Sugar and 99% of East Main if you head out from th ball lot kiosk and take School Loop West in a clockwise direction. The construction only affects 100 yards of School Loop East, basically from the exit of Sugar to the first 50 yards of  the fire road at the end of SL East.  If you take a short detour into the parking lot you can get back on East pretty quickly.

Also had a chance to ride the new section of trail for the first time today. It rode very much like SL West since the rebuild - smooth fast and ... well kind of bland. Have to give it a try when I'm not wiped out from 10+ Miles in high humidity. Think it might be more fun with a better pace so as to take advantage of the rollers more. Ultimately it felt like a long, rounded off, BMX track today. Not saying it's not going to be fun; but it is going to be significantly less challenging than what we have enjoyed on the other side of the highway.

Maybe its trail karma getting even with me for all my bitching about the climbs on Sugar....

I can also give you a tour of Bax if you want. It's no Anne Aprings, climbing both ways and lots of intersecting trails, so it's not very easy to follow. If you do ride it, please be very careful when descending, after the spring rain there are a few deep ruts that can send you over the bars. The roots are pretty gnarly too...

you can get to sugar for now by riding outside the treeline along the baseball field.  you don't even have to cross the construction work you see above so Sugar may be around for a bit longer.  I've been riding out there a long time and hate to see good stuff go to waste, but the paradise loop is really good and as far as changing the character, the barometer is whether the new stuff is fun and I have to say the trail is super fast and flowy right now.  It's probably more fun than it's ever been.

So much for waiting until June 30 th.  was at Springs yesterday and School East is taped off at both sides.  The entrance to Sugar closest to the Complex is also taped off.

Trails are closed due to wet conditions.  Yeah right.   Angry

Strange. Given that wasn't the case, you think it would be end of day on the 30th?

Only day I can get out there one more time would be Friday the 30th, but not going to drive there if Sugar and East are not ridable.

It's open you just can't get to it from the complex. May be the last day though.  The new stuff is good. It's worth the trip. Prolly about 17 miles for 2 laps.

the entrance to the paradise loop is right next to the school loop west entrance.  It goes to the left towards blue star.  This is the majority of the new stuff.

There is also another fork just after the north tunnel that veers to the right and brings you to the old connector to sugar from the school side.  This now flows towards the overpass where the prairie loop begins.  It's a short little stretch, but is essentially the redirect away from sugar.

You can still keep going to sugar, at least for now, but you will have to loop back down school loop east or do sugar as an out and back.

Not always, depends on their mood.  Was there two weeks ago when 95% of the trail was damp at best yet it was closed to bikes.

I rode Anne Springs today and hope they are going to add some trails. I couldn't believe they knocked down the check in  shack and knocked down all the tree's along the baseball fields to the road.

Losing Sugar makes it almost not worth going.  There is plenty of land, they need to go further in to create more trails. Anyone know anything about more rideable miles at Anne Springs?   Cry Cry Cry.

Check in shack and trees along the baseball field lol.  Ok never really cared about that.  Losing sugar sucks but they did a good job adding new flowy stuff IMO.  If u Don't like it Don't come back.  There's always room for improvement but so far they have made a solid effort and it shows.

There were lots of runners and bikers (including myself) on both School Loop East and Sugar Loop trails this past Saturday though their homepage said trails will be permanently closed on June 30th. Now the website says "School Loop East, Sugar Loop and the Complex Tunnel have been permanently closed. New trails include Paradise Loop, Avery Loop and Tunnel Trail."

Anyone know if they completed blocked Sugar and East School to where you can't find a way thru?

Found a news article on their website about the new trails:
