Did the races at North Meck avoid the Tsunami last night?  I headed out the door but the skies didn't look too friendly, and I was shortly rewarded with heavy rain and a hailstorm!

So it's time to discuss the Harrisburg Park venue, really curious to see how Neal works this one, any sneak peak details?

If you find out who took the pictures can you PM me?  I messaged Neal b/c I believe the same person took pics the first race there.  Usually its the trek store but I don't think so this time.

I think it is the guy @supercycling on Instagram, I messaged him yesterday and he gave me a thumbs up, so I assume he's thumbing through them still!

With 90 riders on the Harrisburg park track there will be wheels touching from start to finish!  Really interested to see how this will work out.

The short track races will be in waves.  Not the full mass start like the XC races.

I went out and walked the Harrisburg trail last night.  There has been some nice work done out there!  There has been more trail built and with a couple of small jumps that will be fun.  There will be plenty of room for passing and the downhill section will be tight and FAST.  That trail has great highway access to it and should be very easy to get to.  If the rain holds off today, the trail will be in great shape.  The park has plenty of parking and Harrisburg has many options for post race food and drink.  I can highly recommend the "49 Yardline" just down the road from the park.

The finish line will be on the flat part next to the horseshoe pits. It will go up the path and to the left into the woods by a big wood sign. Follow the trail around and down the hill, it will veer to the left outside the woods and go right back in just past the permanent cornhole games. This part will start the climb back out.  After two small woods sections it will either go to the left around the woods or go to the right up the gravel path.  All depends on the lap time. It should be in good enough condition to pre-ride tonight. It was close last night.

just did a quick ride, fun loop! very tight so passing will be tough, hopefully as the weeks go on we can fine tune it. I live 6 miles away and would love to lend a hand/shovel/layout ideas!

According to the internet I did a lap in 2:46 in basketball shorts, I'm curious how much time can be knocked off of that!

Spandex will knock 10% off that lap.

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Challenging, fun course last night.  I forgot what a workout short track racing can be - a lot of effort in a short time.  Looking forward to the next one!

I think on one lap I did that whole section without hitting the brakes and almost ate it on that blind right hand turn
