Reinstall stripped outwater bottle cage mount....

For some time I haven't had a water bottle on my carbon Scalpel because the cage mount bolts were both stripped out of the frame. Is it possible to reinstall these? I saw this Park Tools method with a QR and a hub, but I don't have enough parts for that.

Any local shops have this stuff? I would like to not have to bring a camelbak for short rides anymore Smiley

Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

Are the mounting nuts still there and just stripped, or completely missing? If the nuts are there, I would assume you could easily just retap them to a slightly larger size.

**Disclaimer...this is just knowledge from my other motorsports experience. I would assume the same can be done, but have never done it to a bike.

If you can't get to Jerry, I have the same set up at the shop. Smiley

I thought the holes in your frame were wallowed out and the rub nuts were gone. If I'm smoking crack on that, it's fixable with either rethreading the current ones (not ideal) or removing them and installing new rivnuts.  Jerry can fix you up. It's nice to not wear a camel sak all the time

That's what I've done.
So far that plan has cost me a lot of $$, but I also wound up with a sweet SS and new set of wheels. Cool
