Had a wicked storm come through last night but only dropped a little rain.  If you don't want a slippery ride give it till this afternoon to ride.  If you don't care have at it!

Let me know if there are any trees down that need attending to.

Thanks and Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

The back half of Thunder Road was the wettest. Small 10" tree down about 75% through Enchanted Forrest - perfect spot to hop (no need to remove). Picked up a lot of dirt and a few ticks. Now I'll be paranoid for ticks with every itch for the next few days, #ThanksMark  Cheesy

Never.  We're gonna change the signs to black diamonds per our "expert's" advice.

It's amazing how quickly riders lose perspective over time.  Poplar Tent's only been closed for like 3 years and it was by far the rootiest trail in the area even after Enoch de-rooted it like 10-12 years ago.

Some riders don't like roots because they can't go fast easily.  Meh...Fisher/Allison make's you work for it. Smiley

roots are also good for spells in witchcraft and voodoo. I was riding a rooted trail one time, and I willed to see a good endo. Not only did I see some good ones, it even backfired on me. And I went over. Do they make Voodoo bikes? Would be killer to ride one of those on a rooted trail

Go ride the enchanted forest trail up at snowshoe if you like dem roots. Lots of them surrounded be embedded rocks and moss as far as you can see. Can't wait to go ride that trail again. Then on the way down you get to ride adjust your headset. Nice stuff thanks Mike for pointing us over that way.

I remember years ago, riding a extremely rocky trail there called the Corduroy Hwy.

Well said. I love Fisher it was the first place I went and rode after I started biking and try to go there a once every few weeks. Great place for beginners to really work on skills in my opinion.  Love the place and wouldn't change a thing!
Except maybe some more cameras to watch Billy fall over on fake deer !

A few years back when I lived in Mooresville, I used to ride Itusi, North Mecklenburg, and Fisher Farm. The only thing I hated about the farm, was a nasty left turn that I could never clear. All the rest was a good ride. Heck, even the Hawk, Norris, Hicks are now plauged with roots. At least they were the last time I rode there

I remember those days...when men were men and mtn bikers were rugged sorts who came back with bloody shins and didn't whine about everything. (looking into the distance wistfully)   Sad

Now they want ebikes and no roots.

Every Phister Farmz post turns into Ebike promos and root bazin.  Any 29er Ebikes out there?  If not, seems like a missed opportunity for more bike bashin
