Indian Trail Crroked Creek Park

Hi guys, I talked with DK who suggest me to post this question here in the main board and I hope i choose the right placement. Indian Trail is building a new main park (a portion of it it is already open) (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links);
Two days ago I went to the park with the dog I have noticed that they have started to build waling trails, the classic large trail but if you check the little map from the link there is a lot of green space. Also consider that two years ago the IT mayor and staff sent out a questionnaire asking what we would have liked to see within the park and rec future plans and it came out that the majority wanted more bike parks and related facilities.
So my question is, since there is almost nothing in Union County, would you consider this location for future trails?

I have an update, three years ago they have met with the THTB and they were said that is lacking the distance. If that is the case fine!

That was me.  They inquired about a possible mtb trail system out there so I and a few other members met with them.  Unfortunately to put together an appreciable distance a very long flood plain needed to be traversed.  We're talking a stream that regularly floods and normal water level is only inches below the bank.  Trees were showing flood marks 4-6 inches up their trunks when I visited.

It could be done but at considerable cost for 100's of yards or so of boardwalk.

Now it did look like they had and were continuing to invest large sums of $$$ in their ball field facilities! Smiley

Hope that helps!  Smiley

Yes the ball park looks great also the kids facility. They have told me that they want to apply for a grant to build a bike park, they had in mind something like this for kids (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
I replied to the park and rec manager why don't they do not consider to build a bike park like the Louisville mega cavern  (of course not in a cavern), that could be used by grown ups and kids. I tried to plant the seed....
