Rash of stolen bikes

I've been noting an increase in the number of stolen bikes in this area on this and other bike forums. I don't know how many of you get/read the MTBR Insider emails, but they had an article indicating that this is a trend nationwide. Following are a couple of links that all of us should find interesting. I've never been particularly trusting, but as they say "just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're not being followed". Be careful with those bikes...

I've had 5 bikes stolen total.  3 at once when I first moved here 4 years ago.  Worst feeling in the world.  Don't trust anyone or anything!  Always keep in safe place.
