Trees down on Jetton Loop

Happy to help, but there are two 10-12" trees down on the Jetton loop about 15' apart.  The first is 3' high off the ground and the other I nearly got over, but given it's a green should probably be removed too (or we can build up on the sides Cheesy).

Easiest way to get to them is from Enclave Oaks Ct, the entrance by the dead end across from Chad Knaus' old house and walk backwards on the trail (take a right) and go about 100 yds in.  I have a visual i can email but this platform doesn't seem to be keen on uploading pics.  Sweet smileys though   Shocked

I own a chainsaw, but read somewhere we weren't supposed to be taking matters into our own hands.  I'm happy to help and live a few miles away - 773-991-7667.

I sent a message to the Trail Coordinator for Jetton. He'll likely get in touch with you soon. Thanks for the heads up.

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.

Thanks for this heads-up.

I'll try to make it out there by tomorrow, if not today.

To the OP, what is your time availability?

I can do tonight (Mon) after 645p, and pretty available Friday-Monday.  Traveling Tu-Th.

Thanks for your time offerings, “cjeffcampbell”.

I had some free time this morning (Tues.) and took care of ‘em.

I also cleaned up a few remnants from previously fallen stuff.

Best part of my time out there was meeting two young riders.

A young man introducing his his buddy to riding. He felt Jetton was just the right place to do so - and I agree!

Was a neat interaction.

Cheers!

You guys that maintain the trails are greatly appreciated and very skillful! Did you have any trouble walking backwards 100 yards while carrying a chainsaw?

Thanks Kevin, you da man! Yep, great starter trail and a well kept secret. More dog walkers than riders typically.
