	The key here is to ride with someone bigger and taller than you and always let them lead.

	Was doing a fast downhill in Uwharrie and used my face to clear a huge web. I saw it coming but was going too fast to avoid. They heard my screaming in Charlotte.

	During times of heavy webs I keep all these damn bumps on the back of my neck. I've gotten now to where I stop and with a small towel I wipe myself repeatedly after webbing yet another with a big 8x creature present.

	I've said this before.. Just be glad they're orb weavers (virtually harmless). And black widows don't spin webs between trees. That would be the end of my mountain biking career right there.
