I didn't even raise an eyebrow when 29ers started gaining popularity (I'm that old).  In fact, I test rode a Carl Strong 29er hardtail and immediately knew I wanted to switch to "big wheels."  I had a Titus Racer X at the time.  Just by looks though I can't see how this bike would ride even remotely well on trails and singletrack.  Looks like a gimmick, but just my opinion.

36" wheel bikes make alot of sense for really tall people.

Check out DirtySixer... He makes bikes for NBA and NFL players. Shaq rides one and its hilarious

You're right - it looks like a natural fit for those guys.  Hadn't really considered that there are giants living among us who deserve to be able to shred!   Wink
