I did not see the state park listed on the homepage today. Is there something up?

I talked with the park and updated the status on the website.  It's open so go ride!

We did some additional work to the Hawk Trail last week and the Rangers are keeping the Hawk loop closed after any rain while leaving the other loops open (unless it's enough rain to close everything) so the work can settle.   

Well, technically they are closing Hawk, Hicks, and Norwood since you use Hawk to access those other loops.  Not quite ideal but Monbo, Laurel, Wildlife, Fallstown and Fox are still open when the other three loops are closed.  This will only last for a few weeks while everything settles in.

I appreciate the rangers being flexible are allowing the work to rest a bit so it hardens up properly.  It was great that we had had good dirt while building and tons of riders to pack it in already (we did the work last Thursday).

All the reworked sections on Hawk were made to enhance the first time and beginner rider experience.

If i had to bet, id gamble on open in the am.   No rain up here today.  So should be good to go.   But call or wait until, after 8am for post to be sure!
