A rider crashed at the WWC yesterday evening and transported to the hospital. Does anyone have any information on him? Name?,phone number? Anything?

Don't know anything about this particular incident, other than to say I hope this person is all right..

But I think a 'crash report' sub-forum would be interesting and insightful reading.

I did not know him. I was riding with a friend and as we were coming off of Panda we saw the firetruck. We helped the firefighters locate him. I gave him my Runner ID bracelet, everyone should wear ID, and secured his bike for him. I was able to meet with his family and return his bike to them on Friday.

As of Friday, he was still in the hospital. Hopefully, he will have a complete recovery soon.

My daughter had a bad crash several months ago at WWC. Firefighters were called in. The reason I am responding is to give a big shoutout to the local mountain bike community. Without the support of riders assisting us the day of the crash, it would have been all the more challenging in front of what was already facing us. We recently moved to NC from MI & look forward to meeting fellow riders on the trails.

Hope your daughter is recovered or recovering well. Its certainly scary when injuries happen, but the compassion of others to help and the skill of our doctors can make for great outcomes.
