ANOTHER broken seat

I ride a 29er hard tail. In the past year and a half I have broken 3 seats and bent 1. The bar on the right side has been the problem on all 4 seats. Am I ridding to hard? Spending too much time in the saddle? or is it just time for me to invest in a new full suspension bike Angry Shocked Roll Eyes Undecided Cry?

Just go get a squishy your world will be much more enjoyable Wink

That being said I know when riding my hardtail I tend to bounce around and off stuff quite a bit but luckily I'm a little guy. I am much smoother now with it than when I first got the bike though and it just takes some conscientious riding and looking ahead and I tend to bounce less. That being said when I get tired that all goes to $&*! and I just trudge along.

I have a Bontrager Evoke RL FWIW

Going about 205, I've broken a few saddles until I switched to a THE downhill saddle. I've got 3 years on it and no problems.

I've broken just as many seats and posts on FS as I have hardtails.  I think its more riding style and experience IMO.

Do you keep the seat post clamped toward the back, middle, or forward position on the saddle?  I have had problems with the seats on my bikes "leaning" to the right a little before. Just not sure if the rail is the culprit or the shell forming to the way I sit.  I don't notice any discomfort though and have not broken a saddle.

I had the saddle as far back as I could get it. When I replaced it this week I put it in the middle hoping the adjustment would correct my problem.
I'm planning to ride in the am so we will see how it goes.

That's more than likely your problem right there.  I'd suggest a set back seatpost if you don't already have one.  If you do then I'd suspect either a too short stem and/or top tube length/frame size not correct.  That's a lot of broken saddles! Shocked
