Need help recovering from an injury

Print Post
Hi All
Two months ago I was riding the LKN trails on a regular basis enjoying the great workouts. Then I had a construction accident and injured my right knee. Now it is tender and very weak but healthy enough to start riding again. Problem is, I'd rather not start out on single track. Can anybody suggest a place to ride that is relatively flat, wide and near Mooresville. Similar to the Salem Lake loop in Winston Salem.
Thanks for the help

No problem. There is also a paved path running down Davidson Concord Rd towards River Run.  Just getting over broken shoulder myself and hoping to hit wildlife at LKN this weekend

I know its not ideal, but spinner bike at the gym. I've come back from 2 torn ACL's and used spinners to get back in shape before I hit the mountain trails.

Yeah, I need to get back to the Y. I was an avid gym rat before the injury but having a hard time motivating. Time for a kick in the butt.

your diet can help you recover while you just go out an pedal around a few miles a day. Hit a greenway . Some laugh when I say this but what you eat can help you heal better. Vegtables and Water will become your best friend and lot's of fruit. Kick out junk food and snaking on chips or whatever and concentrate on healthy stuff . Always drink 4 bottles of water a day and exercise. Another form of healing is Yoga...Spoke Easy has a class on Thursday nights..
