I recently bought a giant trance 3 27.5 and it game with max is high roller II’s on it. I haven’t been very happy with them and am thinking about going with a set of maxxis minion dhf’s. Thinking 2.5 on the front and 2.3 on the back. Anyone have these tires or opinion on tires that work best around here? My main trials are Sherman, Rocky River, the WWC and occasionally Mazzeppa. Preciate any feedback!

I run the DHF up front in the winter and it is super grippy, sheds mud well.

For the summer, i switched to:

Front: Schwalbe Rocket Ron Addix Tire - 27.5x2.6. Snakeskin/Speedgrip
Back: Schwalbe Rock Razor Addix Tire - 27.5in. SnakesSkin/Speedgrip

not as grippy, but rolls very well on hard-packed trails.

I ride similar places, but I am not an overly aggressive rider in the corners. Faster riders may have a different opinion.

I just switched to a DHF from a HR2. Don't know what took me so long. DHF is a better front tire in all conditions. I was worried about rolling resistance but it rolls better IMO. I run a 2.3 so YMMV. Not sure if I would want to run it on back on the trails around here, I have an Ardent there now.
