...at least that's how the recording sounded.  Has anyone been out there recently?

Yep, on the weekend members only..

During the week everyone is cool as long as you are a member or pay the fee at the trail entrance..
(Non-members $6 per person, $4 youth (ages 5-12) | Ages 4 and under FREE)

No business is being done at the trail shacks, except for checking memberships, etc.

So, if you are a non-member, make sure to pay in advance online, or use your phone to pay when you get there. Folks at the shacks will not take cash, not will they swipe cards.

The trail has been in amazing shape and, for the most part, not too crowded relatively speaking

Could be possible, I guess..
But I haven't figured out how or where you can pay online as a non-member for a day use permit.

I think they're still doing the envelope/cash thing at the trail head (YMCA)/shack at Adventure rd. entrance.

Of course you can pay for a membership online.

Trails in rough shape, a lot of coughing people without masks.. Please don't come if you have other options.  Smiley
