	looking again. new possible ride comes with xx1 eagle axs. 32 front 10-50 rear 12 speed. is 32 enough front ring? i run 34 on my s/s. help!

	Any riding done around here in the local area, I would say a 32 and 12 speed rear is just fine.

	32 is fine as long as you have a 10 on the bottom of cassette. I regularly spin out a 32 with just a 11 on the bottom.

	Do what you like. Stop hating people for their riding habits and get back to hating them for their skin color, religion, politics, and sexual orientation.

	I use a 34 tooth but have been thinking about a 36 as well. A 32t spins out way to easy in my opinion. Good option is to have both rings, super quick to change out. 5 mins maybe 10 depending on how often you need to sip a beverage. ciao Santana

	thanks for the info. i will wear out the 32 and go from there? i was thinking prob wind up with a 34.

	Just pay attention to your chainstay clearance...make sure you're satisfied with the daylight in that space

	This is an interesting question and one I have thought about and there are very different opinions and experiences. I believe it depends on where you ride (i.e. types of trail), what bike you ride and how you ride. For me: My Ripmo AF (somewhat heavy trail/enduro bike) has a 30 front with an eagle 10-52. (I do not want bigger than a 30, would like a 30 oval) I never spin out, when I am traveling at a speed that is so high that I can't pedal fast enough I am never trying to pedaling. The only way I get up to those speeds is when I am descending a fast trail and therefore I do not need or want to pedal to go faster. (Pisgah, not CLT trails) I also never race, so top speed is not a concern for me. Obviously others have different experiences for many good reasons. My general recommendation is go with a chain ring as small as possible that both fits your bike and terrain.
