35th Anniversary Rides!

Way back in 1990 a small group of riders got together to create the Tarheel Trailblazers. Somehow, without the internet, cellphones, or social media they were able to get amazing bike trails built! And for 35 years generation after generation has built on the work that has come before, to create the fantastic trail system we are so lucky to have across the Charlotte region today.

To commemorate the work of all these volunteers, land managers. sponsors and riders, the City of Charlotte is officially declaring October 4th to be Tarheel Trailblazers Day!

And to celebrate that milestone we are hosting group rides across the area. We’d love to see as many of you as possible at one of these. It’s great if you want to ride your home trail, but this is also a fabulous opportunity to go ride a trail you don’t usually get to!
