💔 Valentine’s Ride Postponed 💔 Mother Nature had other plans! 🌧️🥶 Due to rain and dropping temps, the trails at Uwharrie will be closed for riding. The Lady Shredders Valentine’s Ride is postponed to April 12th. We will follow up soon with more details! 🗓️

Night time is the right time!

Join us for a fun night ride at the revitalized Renaissance Park!

The ride includes 5 miles of single track on the main trail and short track, with 2 urban miles to and from the trails.

Everyone is encouraged to join this ride (there are some technical rock/root sections).

We will meet at the Jocks & Jills Parking lot and ride from there.

Wheels roll at 6.30pm. If you’d prefer to meet us at the trailhead, we should be there shortly after 6.30.

Afterwards we’ve got space reserved at Jocks & Jills for a social gathering, including 10% off food!

Remember night time is dark, so you must bring LIGHTS!

Calling all lady riders! Join us for a party paced

Calling all lady riders! Join us for a party paced spin around the beautiful Uwharrie National Forest!

We will split in to a few skill/speed/distance based groups with appointed leaders and a no-drop format. This trail is not recommended for those just starting their riding journey. There are some technical areas and rider must be able to ride at minimum 7 continuous miles.

Be sure to dress in appropriate layers for cold weather and plan to warm up quickly on some of the fun climbs the trail has to offer!

A social to follow the event…Bring it on ladies!

Meet up 10:00 AM (Top parking lot – along the gravel road – near the toilet!)

Wheels roll 11:00 AM

If you love riding our local trails - we’d love your help working on them.

We're seeking volunteers to lend a hand as we continue to build and maintain trails for everyone to enjoy. Not sure what it involves? Check out this short video we made about a workday at Colonel Beatty Park in December.

Hopefully it gives you an idea of what our volunteers can accomplish in just a few hours working together. We have a lot of fun, and there’s nothing like the satisfaction of riding over a trail section you know you helped create!

Keep an eye out for announcements in our newsletters and social media about future work days if this gets you interested. Or if you can’t make it out to a workday, you can always help buy materials and equipment by becoming a member and making a donation! We really appreciate the support. Are you in to help?

What an absolutely incredible year! The Board of D

What an absolutely incredible year! The Board of Directors recently met for the final time of 2024. It was great to reflect on all the amazing accomplishments for the year.

We ended the year with 624 members! That's over a 15.5% increase from January 1st of this year! With more members and more support our Trail Coordinators and Volunteers were able to keep the trails open for more days and tackle more projects than ever before! The @rockybranchpark_nc project was completed. @airlinebikepark continues to grow with the improvements to the existing jump lines and new BMX lines. Other trails had major improvements. Fisher Fest had its biggest attendance yet - over 500 people! We introduced @trailbotapp, a trail management system to notify in real time when the trail opens. And we had so many other major accomplishments! All of this was done for this amazing community of mountain bikers and trail users.

The Board has already been hard at work preparing for 2025. More trail improvements, more members events, more ways to get involved! We’re so stoked for the future and incredibly grateful for everyone in our community who shows up and supports us day in and day out. Here's to 2025!! We can't wait for what's to come! 🎇🍾🚵

🚵‍♀️ What an awesome week! 🚵‍♂️ First, let’s celebrate an incredible milestone—we hit 600 members Wednesday night, and as of writing this, we’re already at 611 members! 🙌 Just last night, 6 new members joined the Tarheel Trailblazers during our member-only event, showcasing the passion and dedication of this amazing community.

Your memberships are the backbone of everything we do. Not only do they help us maintain the 20+ trails we love and work to maintain in the area, but they also give us the momentum to pursue larger fundraising opportunities and exciting new projects. 🌲

And speaking of fundraising, a HUGE thank you to our amazing donors—we absolutely blew our Giving Tuesday campaign goal out of the water thanks to you! 🌊 Your generosity fuels trail improvements and maintenance, making it possible for us to continue creating incredible outdoor experiences for everyone.

We’ve got some exciting projects in the pipeline (stay tuned for updates!!), and we’re looking to expand our member-only events to give back even more to this awesome group.

We’re also committed to listening to you. 🎤 Keep an eye out for surveys throughout the year—they’re a key way for us to understand what matters most to YOU, our members, and we take your feedback seriously. 💬

Our next big goal? 1,000+ members. It’s ambitious but totally within reach, and it’s a critical step toward working with the municipalities and land managers to expand and enhance our trail systems. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Tomorrow's social ride is ON!

You may have ridden Airline during the day…but since gates normally shut at sunset, this is a rare opportunity to ride it at night, with a bunch of other trail lovers!

After the ride hang out at the Gravity Terminal with beverages, fire pit, and music.

(If you’re not yet a member, no problem, you can join beforehand at our website - link in bio - or sign up on site on the day of the ride!)
